Privacy policy
What follows describes the data TradeFx collects in the product as it is built today, written so a reviewer can check it against the code rather than against a boilerplate template.
What we collect
We collect the data needed to run an account, settle contracts, and meet identity obligations. We do not collect data speculatively in case it becomes useful later.
- Account data: email address, display name, and a public account identifier.
- Identity verification data, where verification is required before a payout.
- Trading records: every contract you open, the attested opening and settling prices, and the resulting ledger entries.
- Partner records: your position in the referral tree and the commission events attributed to you.
- Technical data: request logs, IP address and device or browser information, retained for security and abuse investigation.
Why we process it
To provide the account and settle contracts (performance of a contract with you); to comply with identity, tax and financial-record obligations (legal obligation); and to detect fraud, abuse and multi-account referral manipulation (legitimate interests).
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your trading records to build advertising profiles.
How long we keep it
Ledger and contract records are append-only: entries are never edited or deleted in place, because a balance is derived by summing them. Correcting an error therefore means adding a reversing entry, not removing history. This is a deliberate design constraint and it limits what deletion of financial records can mean in practice.
Account and identity records are retained for the period required by the applicable financial and tax rules, and then deleted. Technical logs are retained for a substantially shorter period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can export your own ledger from the wallet pages at any time without asking us.
The specific rights you hold, the deadlines we must meet, and the regulator you can complain to all depend on your jurisdiction. This is one of the sections most in need of legal review.
Contacting us
Privacy requests can be sent through the contact page. A named data controller, postal address and (where required) a data protection officer or EU/UK representative still need to be added here before launch.
